The projects goal is to further develop the database, explore the development of a universal API platform including industry common formats for information exchange as well as how material suppliers can be included in the database to create a complete value chain, combine this with a long-term sustainable business model and ownership structure and begin national dissemination to, streamline and improve the quality of climate calculations in the construction sector.
By making data available to users within the Swedish building & construction sector, the aim is to achieve the impact goal of standardizing the calculation processes, increasing user-friendliness, comparability and availability of climate data and stimulating innovation and development of new sustainable solutions and work methods. All to drastically reduce the sector's climate impact. To achieve this, the project, based on LFM30's work, national and EU legislation regarding standardization, wants to further develop and scale up the use of the open climate database and visualization that enables national knowledge raising and benchmarking for actors in the building & construction industry, at company and project level, in new production and renovation. With knowledge of LFM30's unique level of research, current results, support from the recently instituted climate legislation and the municipalities' climate contracts (nationally and within the EU), the project group believes that the impact target is highly achievable.
The project's target group is LFM30's 200 actors and Sweden's companies in the construction & facilities sector, companies, public/private, individually or gathered in local/regional climate initiatives, ongoing and under development need these tools gathered in the reference group to ensure quality, scale, spread and use the project's solutions. Project owner is LFM30 with project partners AFRY, Treano, IVL, Hilti, Granitor, EON, Magnolia and HSB.
